So their Lord accepted of them (their supplication and answered them), "Never will I allow to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female. You are (members) one of another, so those who emigrated and were driven out from their homes, and suffered harm in My Cause, and who fought, and were killed (in My Cause), verily, I will expiate from them their evil deeds and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise); a reward from Allâh, and with Allâh is the best of rewards."

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 195) ➊ {فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ …:} That is, when they prayed in this manner, Allah Almighty accepted their prayer. Then He also mentioned the form and manner of the acceptance of their prayer, that the Lord does not waste the deed of any doer. In this, there is no difference between man and woman, because they are from one another; they are not separate creations. In attaining salvation in the Hereafter and ranks with Allah, both men and women are equal. However, due to their distinct responsibilities, there is naturally a difference in their abilities. See Surah An-Nisa (32, 34).

{فَالَّذِيْنَ هَاجَرُوْا … :} That is, those who, for the sake of religion, willingly migrated, bidding farewell to their homeland and wealth, and reached the Islamic center; and those upon whom the disbelievers inflicted oppression and cruelty, forcing them to leave their homes through severe torment, not letting them live in peace in any way, and subjected them to hardships merely because they chose the path of Islam, as mentioned elsewhere: «يُخْرِجُوْنَ الرَّسُوْلَ وَ اِيَّاكُمْ اَنْ تُؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ رَبِّكُمْ» [ الممتحنۃ : ۱ ] "These disbelievers expel the Messenger (peace be upon him) and you from your homes for no other crime than that you believe in your Lord." And also: «وَ مَا نَقَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يُّؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِ» [ البروج : ۸ ] "And they took revenge on them for nothing except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, the Praiseworthy."
