It is only Shaitân (Satan) that suggests to you the fear of his Auliyâ’ [supporters and friends (polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Messenger, Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم)]; so fear them not, but fear Me, if you are (true) believers.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 175) The person who was spreading these rumors was called Satan, and it was explained that he is frightening with his disbelieving and hypocrite friends. Muslims should not harbor fear of anyone except Allah Almighty in their hearts. The real Satan also keeps inspiring new ways in the hearts of his human companion Satans to frighten the Muslims. See Surah Al-An'am (__XREF_112__). Nowadays, newspapers, radio, TV, and the internet are tools of Satan for spreading lies and causing fear. A believer should trust in Allah instead of fearing their news, and should also counter them according to { ”اَلْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ“}.
