سُوْرَةُ اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ

Surah Aal-i-Imraan (3) — Ayah 147

وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِىٓ أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿147﴾
And they said nothing but: "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk."
وَمَا wamā And not
كَانَ kāna were
قَوْلَهُمْ qawlahum their words
إِلَّآ illā except
أَن an that
قَالُوا۟ qālū they said
رَبَّنَا rabbanā Our Lord
ٱغْفِرْ igh'fir forgive
لَنَا lanā for us
ذُنُوبَنَا dhunūbanā our sins
وَإِسْرَافَنَا wa-is'rāfanā and our excesses
فِىٓ in
أَمْرِنَا amrinā our affairs
وَثَبِّتْ wathabbit and make firm
أَقْدَامَنَا aqdāmanā our feet
وَٱنصُرْنَا wa-unṣur'nā and give us victory
عَلَى ʿalā over
ٱلْقَوْمِ l-qawmi [the people]
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ l-kāfirīna the disbelievers
