سُوْرَةُ اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ
Surah Aal-i-Imraan (3) — Ayah 131
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿131﴾

And fear the Fire, which is prepared for the disbelievers.

(Ayah 131) {وَ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ … :} In this verse, those who consume usury are warned of the Fire that has been prepared for the disbelievers. From this, it is understood that taking and giving usury is not the work of a Muslim. Whoever does this and does not desist should be prepared for that Fire which has been prepared for the disbelievers. In Surah Al-Baqarah, such a person is commanded to listen attentively to the declaration of war from Allah Almighty. (Qurtubi)
