Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 115) {وَ مَا يَفْعَلُوْا مِنْ خَيْرٍ …:} That is, among the People of the Book, whoever is characterized by the aforementioned qualities will not only receive the reward for their good deeds performed after embracing Islam, but will also be granted the reward for the good deeds done before entering Islam. As mentioned in a hadith: "Three people will receive a double reward: one of them is a person from the People of the Book who believed in his prophet and then also believed in me, so he will have two rewards; the second is a slave who is owned by someone, fulfills the rights of Allah and also the rights of his masters, for him too there are two rewards; and the third is a man who taught his slave-girl good manners and taught her well, then freed her and married her, so for him too there are two rewards."
