لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿66﴾
So that they become ingrate for that which We have given them, and that they take their enjoyment (as a warning and a threat), but they will come to know.
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ liyakfurū So that they may deny
بِمَآ bimā [in] what
ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ ātaynāhum We have given them
وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ waliyatamattaʿū and they may enjoy (themselves)
فَسَوْفَ fasawfa But soon
يَعْلَمُونَ yaʿlamūna they will know

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

{لِيَكْفُرُوْا بِمَاۤ اٰتَيْنٰهُمْ … :} That is, after being saved, they gain nothing from committing shirk except that they continue to be ungrateful for the blessings We have granted and benefit only from the pleasures of this world, while they have no share in the Hereafter. So, very soon they will come to know the outcome of their actions. (Baghawi)
