Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 37,36) {وَ اِلٰى مَدْيَنَ اَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا … :} For the details of these verses, see Surah Al-A'raf (Ruku 11) and Surah Hud (Ruku 8). {’’ وَارْجُوْا الْيَوْمَ الْاٰخِرَ ‘‘ ’’رَجَاءٌ‘‘} The meaning of this is "hope"; it also comes in the sense of "fear," because hope and fear are inseparable. That is, have hope for the coming of the Hereafter; do not think that life is only of this world and that there is no life after it. It can also mean that, along with faith and righteous deeds, have hope for the Day of the Hereafter, that on that day you will receive the full reward for your good deeds.
