Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 13) ➊ { وَلَيَحْمِلُنَّاَثْقَالَهُمْوَاَثْقَالًامَّعَاَثْقَالِهِمْ:} That is, they are liars; they cannot lighten their burden even by a speck, rather they are making their own burden heavier. First, they will bear the burden of their own personal sins, and second, along with that, the sins of those whom they led astray, although there will be no reduction in their burdens. (See An-Nahl: 25) Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : ۲۶۷۴ ] "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without that detracting from their rewards in the slightest, and whoever calls to misguidance will bear a sin like the sins of those who follow him, without that detracting from their sins in the slightest." Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ لاَتُقْتَلُنَفْسٌظُلْمًاإِلاَّكَانَعَلَيابْنِآدَمَالْأَوَّلِكِفْلٌمِنْدَمِهَا،لِأَنَّهُأَوَّلُمَنْسَنَّالْقَتْلَ ][ بخاري، أحادیث الأنبیاء، باب خلق آدم و ذریتہ : ۳۳۳۵ ] "No soul is killed unjustly except that the first son of Adam bears a share of its blood, because he was the first to initiate killing."
➋ { وَلَيُسْـَٔلُنَّيَوْمَالْقِيٰمَةِ … :} That is, the false claims they make that they will bear your burden are themselves a separate sin; they will also be punished for this fabrication. For this, they will also be questioned, which in itself is an extremely dreadful stage.
