Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 41) ➊ {وَ جَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً يَّدْعُوْنَ اِلَى النَّارِ: ’’ اَىِٕمَّةً ‘‘ ’’إِمَامٌ‘‘} 'A'immah' is the plural of 'Imam', which means one who is followed, just as in prayer the follower follows the imam. Leadership (imamat) can be in goodness as well as in evil, as has been said about Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Yaqub (peace be upon them): «{ وَ جَعَلْنٰهُمْ اَىِٕمَّةً يَّهْدُوْنَ بِاَمْرِنَا } » [ الأنبیاء : ۷۳ ] "And We made them leaders who guided by Our command." An example of leadership in evil is Pharaoh and his army. It is said, We made them leaders who call towards the Fire, meaning as long as they lived, they were leaders of people in disbelief and by their words and actions invited them to disbelief, the result of which is the Fire. In the same way, on the Day of Resurrection, they will also be leaders and guides, but towards the Fire. It is said: «{ يَقْدُمُ قَوْمَهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ فَاَوْرَدَهُمُ النَّارَ وَ بِئْسَ الْوِرْدُ الْمَوْرُوْدُ [ ھود : ۹۸ ] "He will be at the forefront of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will lead them to the Fire for drinking, and what a terrible place it is to be brought for drinking."
{ وَ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ لَا يُنْصَرُوْنَ:} Meaning, the armies here will be of no use there, nor will any help come from any direction.
