سُوْرَةُ الْقَصَصِ
Surah Al-Qasas (28) — Ayah 32
ٱسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ وَٱضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ ٱلرَّهْبِ ۖ فَذَٰنِكَ بُرْهَـٰنَانِ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ ﴿32﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
"Put your hand in your bosom, it will come forth white without a disease; and draw your hand close to your side to be free from the fear (which you suffered from the snake, and also your hand will return to its original state). These are two Burhâns (signs, miracles, evidence, proofs) from your Lord to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs. Verily, they are the people who are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

(Ayah 32) ➊ {اُسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِيْ جَيْبِكَ … :} In another place it is said: « وَ اَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِيْ جَيْبِكَ » [النمل: 12] {’’سِلْكٌ‘‘} This refers to the thread in which pearls are strung. Obviously, the thread is inserted with skill and care, that is, without any panic, calmly put your hand into your collar. See also Surah Ta-Ha (22).
➋ { وَ اضْمُمْ اِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ:} The mission for which Musa (peace be upon him) was being sent included several situations where a person could be overcome by intense fear, even to the point of fearing for his life. Along with two great miracles, the remedy for this fear was also given: whenever you feel any fear, press your arm firmly against your side, this will strengthen your heart and remove your fear. The scholars say that if anyone, in a time of fear, follows Musa (peace be upon him) in this action, his fear will go away or be lessened. (Insha Allah)
➌ { فَذٰنِكَ بُرْهَانٰنِ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ … :} That is, the staff turning into a snake and the hand coming out white and shining are not just for this occasion today, but these two miracles have been given to you as proof and evidence of prophethood when sending you to Pharaoh and his chiefs, because they have always been rebellious people. To invite them and to complete the argument against them, such powerful miracles are needed. {’’إِنَّ ‘‘} is used for reasoning, and {’’كَانَ‘‘} contains the meaning of permanence.
