Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 77){ وَ اِنَّهٗ لَهُدًى وَّ رَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ:} Although this Qur’an has been revealed to warn all the worlds (see Furqan: 1), guidance and mercy from it are attained only by those who believe in it. (See Baqarah: 2 to 5) And only the believers are saved from those misguidances in which the Children of Israel and the polytheists of Arabia became entangled. By virtue of this Qur’an, they will find the straight path of life, and by virtue of it, they will receive such mercies from Allah that neither the Children of Israel nor the disbelievers of Quraysh could even imagine. Thus, within a few years, those people who were completely immersed in misguidance became leaders of guidance for the world, and so many mercies of Allah were bestowed upon them that they became rulers over a vast portion of the earth.
