Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 69) ➊ { قُلْ سِيْرُوْا فِي الْاَرْضِ … :} This is the answer to the objection of the disbelievers: travel through the land and see what was the end of the criminals; you will come to know that what the prophets had promised these disobedient people was indeed fulfilled, and none of the prophets’ words turned out to be false. Now, what these prophets have said—that one day the Day of Resurrection will surely come, and on that day people will be rewarded for their good deeds and punished for their evil deeds—this statement of theirs also cannot be false.

{فَانْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ:} The deniers of the Resurrection have been declared criminals, because the only thing that restrains a person from crime and injustice is certainty in the Hereafter. Without this, nothing can prevent a person from becoming a criminal. This is the way of Allah: when the crimes of the deniers of the Resurrection exceed all bounds, His mighty hand destroys them and delivers the world from their existence and their crimes, but their full recompense for their crimes will only be given to them in the Hereafter. If anyone escapes in this world, where will he escape in the Hereafter?
