Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 67) {وَقَالَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْۤا …:} In the previous verse, it was stated that the disbelievers are blind to the Hereafter; in this verse, it is explained how, in their blindness, they make useless objections. Here, apparently, {’’ قَالُوْا ‘‘} "they said" would have been sufficient, but Allah Almighty said: «{ وَقَالَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْۤا }» "And those who disbelieved said," meaning the reason for their statement is their disbelief, that is, hiding the truth and denying it. To express astonishment at being resurrected, the disbelievers have used the interrogative hamzah twice, and after the second hamzah, to further express astonishment, the words {”إِنَّ“} and lam of emphasis are used: "When we have become dust, and our forefathers too, will we really and surely be brought out?" Every word of theirs shows that, in their view, after going into the graves and becoming dust, being resurrected and brought out from the graves is not possible at all. Allah Almighty has answered this at numerous places in the Noble Qur’an, that the One who created the first time, why can He not create again?
