Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 26) {قَالَرَبُّكُمْوَرَبُّاٰبَآىِٕكُمُالْاَوَّلِيْنَ:} Pharaoh incited the courtiers, so Musa (peace be upon him) included them in his address as well and said, "The Lord of all worlds" is the One who is your Lord and the Lord of your earliest forefathers, who existed before, exists now, and will continue to exist in the future. Although this point had already come under {’’ رَبُّالسَّمٰوٰتِوَالْاَرْضِ ‘‘} that the heavens and the earth were created before Pharaoh's birth, so how could he become their Lord, Musa (peace be upon him) brought the matter even closer by referring to them and their ancestors, saying, think, when your fathers or grandfathers existed, were this claimant to lordship present at that time? And in the future, when your children's children exist, where will this so-called lord be then?
