Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 52){ وَمَنْيُّطِعِاللّٰهَوَرَسُوْلَهٗ … : ’’ يَتَّقْهِ ‘‘} In reality, it was {’’يَتَّقِيْهِ‘‘}, at the beginning of the verse due to the jussive particle {’’ مَنْ ‘‘}, its ya was dropped and the word became {’’يَتَّقِهِ‘‘}, in which both qaf and ha have kasrah, then for ease of pronunciation, the qaf was made sakin, just as the ta of {’’كَتْفٌ‘‘} was made sakin. (Abu al-Su'ud) That is, not only for mutual disputes, but it is necessary for a believer that in every matter he should obey Allah and His Messenger, and if any shortcoming occurs, he should fear Allah, repent from that sin, seek forgiveness, and for the future also continue to fear Allah, and those who do so, they are the ones who will attain the objective.
