يَوْمَئِذٍ يُوَفِّيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ دِينَهُمُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿25﴾
On that Day Allâh will pay them the recompense of their deeds in full, and they will know that Allâh, He is the Manifest Truth.
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ yawma-idhin That Day
يُوَفِّيهِمُ yuwaffīhimu Allah will pay them in full
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah will pay them in full
دِينَهُمُ dīnahumu their recompense
ٱلْحَقَّ l-ḥaqa the due
وَيَعْلَمُونَ wayaʿlamūna and they will know
أَنَّ anna that
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلْحَقُّ l-ḥaqu (is) the Truth
ٱلْمُبِينُ l-mubīnu the Manifest

(Ayah 25) ➊ By { يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يُّوَفِّيْهِمُ اللّٰهُ دِيْنَهُمُ الْحَقَّ …: ’’ دِيْنَهُمْ ‘‘} is meant recompense, because that alone will be given in full. Elsewhere it is said: «{ ثُمَّ يُجْزٰىهُ الْجَزَآءَ الْاَوْفٰى [ النجم : ۴۱ ] "Then he will be given his recompense in full, complete recompense."

➋ The attribute { وَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنُ :} of Allah Almighty, {’’ الْحَقُّ ‘‘}, has two meanings: one meaning is "established," because His essence has always existed, neither preceded by non-existence nor ever subject to annihilation; this attribute is not found in anything else. The definite article on the word {’’ اللّٰهَ ‘‘} and its predicate {’’ الْحَقُّ ‘‘}, and the use of {’’ هُوَ ‘‘} between them, creates exclusivity in the statement, meaning that the Truth is only the Being of Allah Almighty, and everything else is false, because the opposite of truth is falsehood. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: [ أَصْدَقُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا الشَّاعِرُ كَلِمَةُ لَبِيْدٍ : أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللّٰهَ بَاطِلُ ] [بخاري، مناقب الأنصار، باب أیام الجاھلیۃ :۳۸۴۱ ] "The truest statement ever uttered by a poet is the saying of Labid: Behold! Everything except Allah is false." The second meaning of "truth" is justice and fairness, referring to {’’ذُو الْحَقِّ أَيْ ذُو الْعَدْلِ‘‘}, meaning the one who is just and fair, just as by saying {’’زَيْدٌ عَدْلٌ‘‘} is meant {’’ذُوالْعَدْلِ‘‘}. That is, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will give the slanderers their due recompense, and they will know that Allah Almighty alone is the one who judges with truth, who reveals the truth as truth. Because even if other judges judge with truth, there remains the possibility of error and shortcoming. Only Allah Almighty is such an entity whose every judgment is true.

➌ From this verse, it is also understood that by {’’ اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَرْمُوْنَ …‘‘} is meant the disbelievers and hypocrites, because the believer already knows in this world that Allah Almighty is {’’ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنُ ‘‘}, so if he ever makes the mistake of slander, he repents out of fear of Allah, whereas the disbeliever and hypocrite, due to not accepting this reality, persist in slander; they will come to know on the Day of Resurrection that Allah Almighty is {’’ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنُ ‘‘}.
