Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 72){ اَمْتَسْـَٔلُهُمْخَرْجًا …: ’’خَرْجٌ‘‘} and {’’خَرَاجٌ‘‘} a daily, monthly, or yearly gift given to a person. This is their fifth reason for denial, which could have been possible. Allah Almighty said, or it could be that you ask them for a daily, monthly, or yearly wage, which they feel as a burden, so say to them that I do not need any payment from you. Because what they give will come to an end, but the sustenance given by your Lord in this world and the Hereafter will never end, and there is no better provider than Him. The meaning is that when you are doing this work of calling to the truth with complete sincerity and are not asking them for any service fee, then their rejection of your call is sheer foolishness and lack of foresight. In the Noble Qur’an, Allah Almighty has commanded the Prophet (peace be upon him) in several places to clearly declare that I do not ask you for any payment or compensation. For example, Surah Sad (86), etc.
