Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 21) ➊ { وَاِنَّلَكُمْفِيالْاَنْعَامِلَعِبْرَةً :} In the previous verses, the mention was made of the vegetation produced with water, in which there is evidence of life after death and a reminder of Allah’s blessings. Now, in order to instill certainty about life after death and to make one aware of His blessings and powers, the mention is made of a creation with a higher degree of life than plants, which are the cattle possessing souls. In {’’ لَعِبْرَةً ‘‘}, the tanween is for magnification, hence the translation is “a great lesson.” ➋ { نُسْقِيْكُمْمِّمَّافِيْبُطُوْنِهَا :} For its details, see Surah An-Nahl (66). ➌ { وَلَكُمْفِيْهَامَنَافِعُكَثِيْرَةٌ :} For its details, see Surah Al-An’am (142), Surah An-Nahl (5 to 8, 66, 80), Surah Al-Hajj (27, 28, 32, 33, 36, 37), and Surah Al-Mu’min (79). ➍ { وَمِنْهَاتَاْكُلُوْنَ :} That is, you eat their meat, and these cattle, through buying and selling, become a means for you to obtain food, drink, and necessities of life.
