Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 103,102) In these two verses, another scene of the Day of Resurrection is described, and that is the weighing of deeds. The use of the plural {’’مَوَازِيْنُ‘‘} indicates that there will be various kinds of scales; for every deed, there will be a specific scale. In these two verses, there is glad tidings for the believers and a warning for the polytheists, because the real weight will be for righteous deeds along with faith, while the deeds of the polytheists will be null and void, as He said: « وَقَدِمْنَاۤاِلٰىمَاعَمِلُوْامِنْعَمَلٍفَجَعَلْنٰهُهَبَآءًمَّنْثُوْرًا »[ الفرقان : ۲۳ ] "And We will turn to whatever deed they did, and We will make it scattered dust." And He said: « اُولٰٓىِٕكَالَّذِيْنَكَفَرُوْابِاٰيٰتِرَبِّهِمْوَلِقَآىِٕهٖفَحَبِطَتْاَعْمَالُهُمْفَلَانُقِيْمُلَهُمْيَوْمَالْقِيٰمَةِوَزْنًا»[ الکہف : ۱۰۵ ] "These are the ones who denied the signs of their Lord and the meeting with Him, so their deeds have become worthless, and We will not assign any weight to them on the Day of Resurrection."
