Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 93,92){ قَالَ يٰهٰرُوْنُ مَا مَنَعَكَ … :} From Ayah (86) to (89) there is mention of the intense anger and sorrow with which Musa (peace be upon him) returned, his scolding of the people, and his questioning and answering with them. After this, in two verses, there is mention of Harun (peace be upon him) fulfilling the duty of enjoining good and forbidding evil during this period, and that the people did not accept anything he said, the purpose of which is to declare Harun (peace be upon him) free from any shortcoming. Musa (peace be upon him) had seen the people worshipping the calf; he was not aware of Harun (peace be upon him)'s efforts at reform and his advice, so he threw down the tablets of the Torah in a state of intense anger while scolding the people, and grabbed Harun (peace be upon him) by the head and pulled him towards himself (A'raf: 150, 151) and said, when you saw that they had gone astray, what stopped you from following after me and coming to inform me of their misguidance, so did you not obey my command?
