Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 83){ وَ مَاۤ اَعْجَلَكَ عَنْ قَوْمِكَ يٰمُوْسٰى :} Allah Almighty had decreed for the Children of Israel and Musa (Moses) (peace be upon him) to come to the right side of Mount Tur, and to grant Musa (peace be upon him) the Book. Instead of coming with his people himself, Musa (peace be upon him) appointed Harun (Aaron) (peace be upon him) as his successor and instructed him to continue the journey towards Tur, while he himself, out of eagerness to converse and meet with his Lord, reached the appointed place with great haste. After granting him the communion and the Torah, Allah Almighty asked, "Musa! What made you come ahead of your people?"
