Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 56){ وَ لَقَدْ اَرَيْنٰهُ اٰيٰتِنَا كُلَّهَا … :} This verse comes as a parenthetical statement after mentioning the conversation between Musa (peace be upon him) and Pharaoh, before continuing the story of Musa (peace be upon him) further. That is, Pharaoh was so steadfast in disbelief that, despite seeing all Our signs and inwardly considering Musa (peace be upon him) to be truthful, he did not believe. He even saw the final sign with his own eyes: the sea split, and each part of its water stood like a huge mountain. Musa (peace be upon him) and the Children of Israel safely passed through those paths (Ash-Shu'ara: 63 to 66). Even then, he did not believe; rather, in order to prove his false claim of lordship true, he entered the sea with his entire army and was drowned. Yet, until the moment of drowning, he continued to deny and reject. See Surah Qamar (41, 42) and Yunus (90 to 92).
