سُوْرَةُ طٰهٰ
Surah Taa-Haa (20) — Ayah 45
قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ ﴿45﴾

They said: "Our Lord! Verily we fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)."

(Ayah 45){ قَالَا رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّنَا نَخَافُ … :} When Musa (peace be upon him) reached Egypt, he conveyed Allah’s message to Harun (peace be upon him), and both brothers, reflecting on their lack of resources and Pharaoh’s arrogance, authoritative dominance, and oppression, became afraid as is natural for humans. Expressing this to their Lord, they said: O our Lord! We fear that he may, in his excess, imprison or kill us, or inflict some other dreadful punishment, or that his arrogance may increase and he may advance further in disbelief and misguidance, or that he may utter something inappropriate about Your essence and attributes, which would cause us more pain than any other suffering.
