سُوْرَةُ طٰهٰ

Surah Taa-Haa (20) — Ayah 121

فَأَكَلَا مِنْهَا فَبَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ وَعَصَىٰٓ ءَادَمُ رَبَّهُۥ فَغَوَىٰ ﴿121﴾
Then they both ate of the tree, and so their private parts became manifest to them, and they began to cover themselves with the leaves of the Paradise for their covering. Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray.
فَأَكَلَا fa-akalā Then they both ate
مِنْهَا min'hā from it
فَبَدَتْ fabadat so became apparent
لَهُمَا lahumā to them
سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا sawātuhumā their shame
وَطَفِقَا waṭafiqā and they began
يَخْصِفَانِ yakhṣifāni (to) fasten
عَلَيْهِمَا ʿalayhimā on themselves
مِن min from
وَرَقِ waraqi (the) leaves
ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۚ l-janati (of) Paradise
وَعَصَىٰٓ waʿaṣā And Adam disobeyed
ءَادَمُ ādamu And Adam disobeyed
رَبَّهُۥ rabbahu his Lord
فَغَوَىٰ faghawā and erred
