Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 104) {نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ …: ’’اَمْثَلُ‘‘} means {’’أَفْضَلُ‘‘}. {’’ اَلْمَثَالَةُ ‘‘} that is, {’’ اَلْفَضْلُ۔‘‘ ’’ طَرِيْقَةً ‘‘} by "the one with the best way" here is meant the one with the best opinion. He is called the one with a better opinion and more intelligent because he understood the temporary and perishable nature of the world and the everlasting and eternal nature of the Hereafter better than others, so he said, "Ten nights? You did not stay in the world more than a single day." Tabari said that the terror of the Day of Judgment will make them forget the pleasures and luxuries of the world to such an extent that they will not even be able to tell the correct duration of their stay in the world. See Surah Al-Mu’minun (112 to 114) and Ar-Rum (55).
