And seek help in patience and As-Salât (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khâshi‘ûn [i.e. the true believers in Allâh - those who obey Allâh with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise) and in His Warnings (Hell)].
وَٱسْتَعِينُوا۟ wa-is'taʿīnū And seek help
بِٱلصَّبْرِ bil-ṣabri through patience
وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۚ wal-ṣalati and the prayer
وَإِنَّهَا wa-innahā and indeed, it
لَكَبِيرَةٌ lakabīratun (is) surely difficult
إِلَّا illā except
عَلَى ʿalā on
ٱلْخَـٰشِعِينَ l-khāshiʿīna the humble ones

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 45) That is, in enduring any calamity, seek help through these two things. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) faced any sudden incident, he (peace be upon him) would perform prayer. [ أبو داوٗد، التطوع، باب وقت قیام النبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم من اللیل : ۱۳۱۹، و حسنہ الألبانی، عن حذیفۃ رضی اللہ عنہ ] The scholars have said: "Patience is of three types: patience over calamity, patience in obedience to Allah Almighty, and patience in refraining from disobedience."
