How can you disbelieve in Allâh? seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the Day of Resurrection) and then unto Him you will return (See V.40:11)

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

The discussion of Tawheed that began with { يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوْا:} is being continued here: it is astonishing that you disbelieve in Allah, the One who gave you life when you were lifeless, that is, you did not even exist. Then He will cause you to die. This cycle of life and death that is before you is itself evidence of the existence and oneness of Allah, and also of the fact that He will resurrect you and bring you before Him once again.
