O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islâm (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islâmic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. After the praise and commendation of the sincere believer, all believers are commanded that you too should follow the entire Islam and the whole Shariah; it should not be that you act upon some commands of Islam and leave the rest. You observe prayer and fasting, but in belief there is shirk, in trade there is interest, in courts there is the law of other than Allah, in social life you have adopted the culture of Hindus, Christians, and Jews, and you consider this the demand of the times and progressiveness. This very way of acting was also the cause of the disgrace of the Jews, as it is said: « اَفَتُؤْمِنُوْنَبِبَعْضِالْكِتٰبِوَتَكْفُرُوْنَبِبَعْضٍ»[البقرۃ : ۸۵] "Then do you believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part?" This also includes those Muslims who, after leaving another religion, entered Islam, but retained the customs of their previous religion, such as the marriage and funeral customs of non-Muslims and innovations and customs that are entirely against Islam, or even after becoming Muslim, they did not abandon their previous daily ways.
