And remember Allâh during the appointed Days. But whosoever hastens to leave in two days, there is no sin on him and whosoever stays on, there is no sin on him, if his aim is to do good and obey Allâh (fear Him), and know that you will surely be gathered unto Him.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah203) ➊ { وَ اذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ فِيْۤ اَيَّامٍ مَّعْدُوْدٰتٍ :} Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The 'appointed days' are the days of Tashreeq (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah)." [ بخاری، العیدین، باب فضل العمل… قبل، ح : ۹۶۹ ] Then Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) established a chapter: "Saying Takbeer during the days of staying in Mina and when going to Arafat." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would say Takbeer inside his tent in Mina, and when those in the mosque heard him, they would also say Takbeer, and those in the markets would also say Takbeer, until Mina would resound with Takbeerat. Similarly, Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would say Takbeer in Mina during those days, after the prayers, on his bed, in his tent, in his gatherings, and while walking during all those days. Umm al-Mu'mineen Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) would say Takbeer on the day of sacrifice, and women would say Takbeer behind Aban bin Uthman and Umar bin Abdul Aziz in the mosque with the men during the nights of Tashreeq. [ بخاری، العیدین، باب التکبیر أیام منیً …، قبل ح: ۹۷۰ ] It is understood that these days refer to the time from the morning of Arafah until sunset on the 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. Fasting is prohibited on the day of sacrifice and during the days of Tashreeq. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah." [ مسلم، الصیام، باب تحریم صوم أیام التشریق … : ۱۱۴۱ ] By the remembrance of Allah is meant all the Takbeerat that are said when stoning the Jamarat, slaughtering animals, or at other times, and any other remembrance besides Takbeer is also included in this ruling. That is, remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah during these days.

{لِمَنِ اتَّقٰى :} That is, if someone leaves after stoning the Jamarat on the eleventh and twelfth, it is permissible, and if someone delays and stays in Mina for all three days, that is also permissible, provided there is piety in the heart and the rites of Hajj are performed with sincerity. (Ibn Kathir)

{ اِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ :} During Hajj, people gather as on the Day of Gathering, so along with the mention of Hajj, a reminder of the Day of Gathering is given and the command to fear Allah is given.
