Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 12,11) ➊ Here two characteristics of the hypocrites have been mentioned: corruption, that is, causing disorder on the earth. This includes every disobedience to Allah, because it causes disorder on the earth. He said: «{ ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَ الْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ اَيْدِي النَّاسِ [ الروم : ۴۱ ] "Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned." The second characteristic is to consider causing disorder as actual reform. These people, due to harboring disbelief in their hearts, befriended the disbelievers, revealed the secrets of the Muslims to them, objected to the beliefs and rulings of Islam, and when forbidden, called this evil act of theirs 'reform.'

Even now, among the Muslims, there are many people who consider associating partners with Allah as reverence for the saints, innovations as a means of attaining closeness to Allah, befriending the disbelievers and striving for their dominance as a requirement of circumstances, the genocide of Muslims as family planning, spread immorality and indecency and call it protection of women's rights. They make every evil act appear attractive by changing its name; some people have made adultery permissible by calling it mut'ah and halalah, musical instruments and music as qawwali and nourishment for the soul, and intoxicating drinks as nabidh, etc. All these are different manifestations of hypocrisy.

{لَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ:} When the heart is diseased, the sense of good and bad also ends, then a person begins to consider good as bad and bad as good. He said: «{ اَفَمَنْ زُيِّنَ لَهٗ سُوْٓءُ عَمَلِهٖ فَرَاٰهُ حَسَنًا [ فاطر : ۸ ] "So is the one for whom his evil deed has been made attractive, so he considers it good (like the one who is not like this)?"
