فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوْمًا لُّدًّا ﴿97﴾
So We have made this (the Qur’ân) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2), and warn with it the Ludd (most quarrelsome) people.
فَإِنَّمَا fa-innamā So, only
يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ yassarnāhu We (have) made it easy
بِلِسَانِكَ bilisānika in your tongue
لِتُبَشِّرَ litubashira that you may give glad tidings
بِهِ bihi with it
ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ l-mutaqīna (to) the righteous
وَتُنذِرَ watundhira and warn
بِهِۦ bihi with it
قَوْمًۭا qawman a people
لُّدًّۭا luddan hostile

(Ayah 97) {فَاِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ … :} This entire Surah, in fact the whole Quran, is a glad tiding for the God-fearing and a warning for the deniers. In the verses preceding this Ayah, those who attribute offspring to Allah have been refuted and their evil end has been mentioned, and those who have faith and do righteous deeds have been given the glad tiding of attaining love. In this Ayah, Allah has mentioned three qualities in the Noble Quran for this purpose, so that the glad tidings and warnings can be delivered in the best way. The first is that Allah has made it easy, and what can be easier than what Allah has made easy. See Surah Qamar (17). The second is that it was revealed in the language of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), "Arabic," which has no equal in clarity of expression, and whose first addressees were those who spoke this language and understood even its subtlest nuances. See Surah Shu'ara (192-195), Yusuf (1, 2), Zukhruf (1-3), and Nahl (103).
The third is that the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent with it to give glad tidings and warnings, and he himself was from among the Arabs, so that he could recite it and demonstrate its practice. See Surah Nahl (44). The first quality is mentioned in the word {’’ يَسَّرْنٰهُ ‘‘}, the second in {’’ بِلِسَانِكَ ‘‘}, and the third in the address forms of {’’ تُنْذِرَ بِهٖ ‘‘} and {’’ تُنْذِرَ بِهٖ ‘‘}. {’’ لُّدًّا ‘‘’’ أَلَدُّ ‘‘} is the plural, meaning a very quarrelsome and stubborn person who does not accept the truth in any way. By this is meant the Quraysh and other hostile disbelievers. See Surah Zukhruf (57, 58).
