سُوْرَةُ الْكَهْفِ
Surah Al-Kahf (18) — Ayah 58
وَرَبُّكَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ذُو ٱلرَّحْمَةِ ۖ لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُم بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚ بَل لَّهُم مَّوْعِدٌ لَّن يَجِدُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦ مَوْئِلًا ﴿58﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
And your Lord is Most Forgiving, Owner of Mercy. Were He to call them to account for what they have earned, then surely, He would have hastened their punishment. But they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no escape.

(Ayah 58) ➊ {وَ رَبُّكَ الْغَفُوْرُ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ:} For its exegesis, see Surah Al-A'raf (156), Surah An-Najm (32), and Az-Zumar (53).
➋ { لَوْ يُؤَاخِذُهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوْا لَعَجَّلَ لَهُمُ الْعَذَابَ :} For its exegesis, see Surah An-Nahl (61) and Fatir (45).
➌ {بَلْ لَّهُمْ مَّوْعِدٌ لَّنْ يَّجِدُوْا … : ’’مَوْىِٕلًا ‘‘ ’’وَأَلَ يَئِلُ اِلٰي مَكَانٍ ‘‘} To seek refuge towards a place. {’’ مَوْىِٕلًا ‘‘} A place of refuge, that is, there is an appointed time for the promise of their punishment, whether in this world or the Hereafter. When they are seized, they will not find any place of refuge to escape from it. So, O disbelievers of Quraysh! You should also remain fearful, lest in the end your fate becomes the same as that of these towns.
