Surah Al-Israa (17) — Ayah 9

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَهْدِى لِلَّتِى هِىَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا ﴿9﴾
Verily, this Qur’ân guides to that which is most just and right and gives glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger, Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a great reward (Paradise).
إِنَّ inna Indeed
هَـٰذَا hādhā this
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ l-qur'āna the Quran
يَهْدِى yahdī guides
لِلَّتِى lillatī to that
هِىَ hiya which
أَقْوَمُ aqwamu (is) most straight
وَيُبَشِّرُ wayubashiru and gives glad tidings
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ l-mu'minīna to the believers
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
يَعْمَلُونَ yaʿmalūna do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ l-ṣāliḥāti the righteous deeds
أَنَّ anna that
لَهُمْ lahum for them
أَجْرًۭا ajran (is) a reward
كَبِيرًۭا kabīran great

(Ayah 10,9){اِنَّ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنَ يَهْدِيْ لِلَّتِيْ هِيَ اَقْوَمُ … : } That is, this Quran guides towards the straightest path in all religious and worldly matters. In it, the way to establish a relationship with Allah Almighty is taught, which is better than any other way, but it also forbids abandoning the world, adopting monasticism, and violating the demands of human nature. Rather, instead, it teaches such an excellent way to live honorably and dominantly in the world and to benefit from the natural needs and comforts of life, which is free from all kinds of excess, rebellion, and lust, and is a guarantor of peace and security for every Muslim and non-Muslim in the world.

Yes, for those who believe in it and do righteous deeds accordingly, it also gives the glad tidings of a great reward, and for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, it also informs them that no matter how prosperous and endowed with wealth and children they may appear in the world, there is punishment for them in this world as well (see Tawbah: 55; Ta-Ha: 124 to 127), and in the Hereafter, there is a painful punishment for them, which is much more severe than the punishment of this world, as stated at the end of the mentioned verses of Surah Ta-Ha: «وَ لَعَذَابُ الْاٰخِرَةِ اَشَدُّ وَ اَبْقٰى » "And surely the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting." For Muslims, there are two glad tidings in these two verses: one is the great reward for them, and the other is that the punishment of their enemies is also a source of happiness for them.
