And if We willed, We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you (i.e. this Qur’ân). Then you would find no protector for you against Us in that respect.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 87,86) ➊ { وَلَىِٕنْشِئْنَالَنَذْهَبَنَّ …:} In this verse, Allah Almighty has described another aspect of His power: that if We will, We can take away all that has been revealed to you, so that it would not remain in your heart, nor in the heart of any of your companions or followers, nor in any paper or other thing. Then, to retrieve it, you would find no supporter against Us.
➋ { اِلَّارَحْمَةًمِّنْرَّبِّكَ :} But it is the mercy of your Lord that He did not take it away, rather He let it remain with you. This is an interrupted exception. It is understood from this that the Qur’an will remain until the Day of Judgment; no one can eliminate it even if all its pages are destroyed, because its real abode is in the hearts of the people of knowledge (see Al-Ankabut: 49), and the Lord has also promised that He will not take it away, rather He will protect it. He said: «اِنَّانَحْنُنَزَّلْنَاالذِّكْرَوَاِنَّالَهٗلَحٰفِظُوْنَ »[ الحجر : ۹ ] “Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will surely be its Guardian.”
➌ { اِنَّفَضْلَهٗكَانَعَلَيْكَكَبِيْرًا:} Here, “great bounty” (fazl kabeer) is mentioned, and elsewhere “tremendous bounty” (fazl azeem) is mentioned: «وَاَنْزَلَاللّٰهُعَلَيْكَالْكِتٰبَوَالْحِكْمَةَوَعَلَّمَكَمَالَمْتَكُنْتَعْلَمُوَكَانَفَضْلُاللّٰهِعَلَيْكَعَظِيْمًا »[ النساء : ۱۱۳ ] “And Allah has sent down to you the Book and wisdom and taught you that which you did not know, and the bounty of Allah upon you has always been tremendous.” Among these great and tremendous bounties are: that He revealed the Book and wisdom to you, kept it with you and your Ummah until the Day of Judgment, made you the leader of the children of Adam, made you the Messenger for all people and the last Prophet, granted you the honor of leading all the Prophets and the Ascension (Mi’raj), and granted you the Greatest Intercession (Shafa’ah Kubra) and the Praiseworthy Station (Maqam Mahmood). How can anyone enumerate the bounty which Allah Almighty Himself calls great and tremendous?
