Surah An-Nahl (16) — Ayah 7

وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ بَـٰلِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ ٱلْأَنفُسِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿7﴾
And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
وَتَحْمِلُ wataḥmilu And they carry
أَثْقَالَكُمْ athqālakum your loads
إِلَىٰ ilā to
بَلَدٍۢ baladin a land
لَّمْ lam not
تَكُونُوا۟ takūnū you could
بَـٰلِغِيهِ bālighīhi reach it
إِلَّا illā except
بِشِقِّ bishiqqi with great trouble
ٱلْأَنفُسِ ۚ l-anfusi (to) yourselves
إِنَّ inna Indeed
رَبَّكُمْ rabbakum your Lord
لَرَءُوفٌۭ laraūfun surely is Most Kind
رَّحِيمٌۭ raḥīmun Most Merciful

(Ayah7){وَ تَحْمِلُ اَثْقَالَكُمْ اِلٰى بَلَدٍ لَّمْ تَكُوْنُوْا بٰلِغِيْهِ …:} This point has appeared in several places in the Quran, for example, Surah Al-Mu’minun (21, 22), Surah Al-Mu’min (79 to 81), Surah Ya-Sin (71 to 73), and Surah Az-Zukhruf (12 to 14).
