Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah127) ➊ {وَ اصْبِرْ وَ مَا صَبْرُكَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ:} In the end, again the command for patience was given, and at the same time, it was warned that if you accomplish such a difficult and great task as patience, do not consider it your own achievement, but be certain that it was only and only possible due to Allah Almighty’s favor. You can benefit from it only if you do not become heedless of Allah’s blessing, remain humble and submissive before Him, and keep praying to Him at all times.
{وَ لَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ … :} The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would become so grieved at his people not believing that he might almost waste away his life; upon this, Allah Almighty consoled him that neither should you grieve over them nor be distressed by their schemes. {’’ ضَيْقٍ ‘‘} and { ’’ ضِيْقٌ ‘‘} both have the same meaning. See Surah Ash-Shu'ara (3) and Surah Al-Kahf (6).
