سُوْرَةُ النَّحْلِ
Surah An-Nahl (16) — Ayah 121
شَاكِرًا لِّأَنْعُمِهِ ۚ ٱجْتَبَىٰهُ وَهَدَىٰهُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿121﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
(He was) thankful for His (Allâh’s) Favours. He (Allâh) chose him (as an intimate friend) and guided him to a Straight Path (Islâmic Monotheism - neither Judaism nor Christianity).

(Ayah121) {شَاكِرًا لِّاَنْعُمِهٖ :} Gratitude for blessings is expressed both by the tongue and by actions. Allah Almighty has testified that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) fulfilled all aspects of gratitude for Allah’s blessings, obedience to His commands, success in His tests, and fulfillment of His rights. Thus, it is stated: «{ وَ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ الَّذِيْ وَفّٰۤى}» [ النجم : ۳۷ ] “And Ibrahim, who fulfilled (all obligations).” And see Surah Al-Baqarah (124).
