Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah76){وَ اِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيْلٍ مُّقِيْمٍ : ’’ مُقِيْمٍ ‘‘} "Everlasting, perpetual"—that is, the caravans traveling from Hijaz to Syria or from Iraq to Egypt pass by this settlement on their route, but people, seeing the signs of destruction in it, do not take any lesson, as it is said: «{ وَ اِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّوْنَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُّصْبِحِيْنَ (137) وَ بِالَّيْلِ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ } » [ الصافات : ۱۳۷، ۱۳۸ ] "And indeed, you pass by them in the morning and at night, so do you not understand?" Modern researchers believe that this settlement was located southeast of the Dead Sea (also called Bahr Lut or in Urdu Bahr Murdar), and in fact, in this era, the government of Jordan is also trying to excavate the ruins of its destruction from the southern part of the Dead Sea.
