Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah47){فَلَاتَحْسَبَنَّاللّٰهَمُخْلِفَوَعْدِهٖرُسُلَهٗ …:} By Allah’s promise is meant the help and honor of Allah’s messengers and the believers in this world and the Hereafter, as He said: «{ لَنَنْصُرُرُسُلَنَاوَالَّذِيْنَاٰمَنُوْافِيالْحَيٰوةِالدُّنْيَاوَيَوْمَيَقُوْمُالْاَشْهَادُ}»[ المؤمن : ۵۱ ] “Indeed, We surely help Our messengers and those who believe in the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand.” See also the exegesis of Surah Al-Mujadila (21) and Surah Ibrahim (13, 14). The purpose of this is, on one hand, to console the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and on the other hand, to warn his opponents that just as all the promises We made to the previous prophets were fulfilled, likewise, the promise of support and help We are making to Our last Messenger (peace be upon him) will certainly be fulfilled, and those who are determined to oppose you will be destroyed and ruined, because Allah is dominant over all, the One Who takes retribution.
