Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah45){وَ سَكَنْتُمْ فِيْ مَسٰكِنِ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ …:} That is, you are living in the same Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, and Egypt, etc., where before you lived the people of 'Ad, Thamud, the people of Nuh and Ibrahim, the people of Lut, and the people of Fir'awn, and the punishments that We sent upon them for their sins are all well known to you, even though you do not admit it verbally. We have explained to you through Our books and through the words of Our prophets by giving examples, such as the example of the fly (Hajj: 73), the example of the spider (Ankabut: 41), the example of the dog (A'raf: 176), and the example of the mirage (Nur: 39), etc. In addition, the fate of the previous disbelievers can also be meant as examples, such as 'Ad and Thamud, Fir'awn, the people of Nuh, and others. See Surah Ra'd (6) and Yunus (102).
