Consider not that Allâh is unaware of that which the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah42) ➊ Here, {وَ لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللّٰهَ غَافِلًا …:’’ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ‘‘} refers to the disbelievers and polytheists, and this is clearly evident from verse (44) of this surah, meaning if Allah is giving respite to these disbelievers, do not think that He is unaware of their deeds.
{ اِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ …: ’’ تَشْخَصُ ‘‘} is from the root {’’ مَنَعَ ‘‘}, the meaning of {’’شُخُوْصٌ‘‘} is for the eyes to remain open due to fear and anxiety, not moving.
