Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah20,19) ➊ The meaning of {اَلَمْتَرَاَنَّاللّٰهَخَلَقَالسَّمٰوٰتِ …:’’ اَلَمْتَرَ ‘‘} is {’’اَلَمْتَعْلَمْ‘‘}, that is, do you not know that Allah Almighty created the heavens and the earth with truth, that is, according to the correct measure with which it should have been, and which indicates the perfect power of its Creator. No one can find any flaw in anything made by Allah Almighty, nor can anyone present a form better than it. Yes, He Himself is fully capable of making something even better than this.
➋ { وَمَاذٰلِكَعَلَىاللّٰهِبِعَزِيْزٍ :} Nothing is difficult for Him; if He wills, He can destroy millions of worlds in an instant and create new ones. Some some scholars have also interpreted {’’ وَيَاْتِبِخَلْقٍجَدِيْدٍ ‘‘} to mean that if He wills, He can suddenly end all of you and create you anew from the beginning. The following verses, which contain the events of resurrection and the Day of Judgment, support this meaning.
