Their Messengers said to them: "We are no more than human beings like you, but Allâh bestows His Grace to whom He wills of His slaves. It is not ours to bring you an authority (proof) except by the Permission of Allâh. And in Allâh (Alone) let the believers put their trust.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

:} It is understood that faith does not come from seeing evidence, it comes from Allah’s granting. (Muwaddih)
➋ It is also understood from this verse that prophethood is entirely a gift, that is, it is Allah’s bestowal. He Himself selects the deserving individuals, as He said: «{ وَ لٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَجْتَبِيْ مِنْ رُّسُلِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ [ آل عمران : ۱۷۹ ] “But Allah chooses whomever He wills from among His messengers.” Prophethood is not attained by anyone through effort and striving, as some misguided people think, among whom is included the Qadiani deceiver.
:} That is, miracles are not in our control, they do not appear without Allah’s command, therefore our trust is only in Allah and all the believers are required to trust only in Him.
