Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
For them is a torment in the life of this world, and certainly, harder is the torment of the Hereafter. And they have no Wâq (defender or protector) against Allâh.

Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah34) {لَهُمْعَذَابٌفِيالْحَيٰوةِالدُّنْيَا … :} That is, sometimes even in this world, there will be punishment through heavenly calamities, diseases, famines, and various misfortunes, and sometimes they will be imprisoned, killed, or humiliated at the hands of the Mujahideen of Islam, and the punishment of the Hereafter is even more severe. A glimpse of this is that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: [ نَارُكُمْهٰذِهِالَّتِيْيُوْقِدُابْنُآدَمَجُزْءٌمِنْسَبْعِيْنَجُزْءًامِنْحَرِّجَهَنَّمَ … كُلُّهَامِثْلُحَرِّهَا ][ مسلم، الجنۃ وصفۃ نعیمھا، باب جہنم أعاذنا اللّٰہ منہا : ۲۸۴۳، عن أبی ھریرۃ رضی اللہ عنہ ] "This fire of yours which the son of Adam kindles is one part out of seventy (70) parts of the heat of Hell... the heat of all of them is like it." And the greatest reason for the punishment of the Hereafter being much more severe is that it is everlasting. See also Surah Al-Fajr (25, 26) and Surah Al-Furqan (11 to 15).
