Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 2) ➊ {مِنْشَرِّمَاخَلَقَ:} "From the evil of that which He created" — In this, refuge is sought from the evil of every creature. There is no harm, difficulty, or distress left that is not included in this. In reality, this is a very comprehensive surah for seeking refuge, because when a servant seeks refuge with his Lord from the evil of every creature, then who among the creation can harm him? And if the Owner Himself does not prevent His creation from causing harm, then who can be saved from the evil of the creation? ➋ In this verse, refuge is also sought from the evil of the creation that has already reached, so that Allah may remove it, and also from that which is feared.
