سُوْرَةُ هُوْدٍ
Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 92
قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَرَهْطِىٓ أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَآءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا ۖ إِنَّ رَبِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ ﴿92﴾

He said: "O my people! Is then my family of more weight with you than Allâh? And you have cast Him away behind your backs. Verily, my Lord is surrounding all that you do.

(Ayah 92) ➊ It is attributed to {قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اَرَهْطِيْۤ اَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُمْ …:’’ ظِهْرِيًّا ‘‘ ’’ ظَهْرٌ ‘‘}, and due to the attribution, there is a kasrah on the letter ẓā’. From here, the tone of Shu‘ayb (peace be upon him) becomes somewhat stern; he says, "Is my tribe more honorable and powerful in your eyes than Allah, Who has sent me as a Messenger?" You have considered the Owner of everything as if He were a worthless thing thrown behind your backs. The point is that not caring about the one sent by Allah is, in fact, to consider Allah Himself insignificant and unworthy.
➋ { اِنَّ رَبِّيْ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطٌ :} He is fully aware of all your deeds (which include their statements, intentions, conspiracies, and everything they were doing against Shu‘ayb, peace be upon him); nothing is outside His encompassment.
