سُوْرَةُ هُوْدٍ
Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 84
۞ وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا۟ ٱلْمِكْيَالَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ ۚ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُم بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيطٍ ﴿84﴾

And to the Madyan (Midian) people (We sent) their brother Shu‘aib. He said: "O my people! Worship Allâh, you have no other ilâh (god) but Him, and give not short measure or weight. I see you in prosperity and verily I fear for you the torment of a Day encompassing.

(Ayah 84) ➊ {وَ اِلٰى مَدْيَنَ اَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًاقَالَ يٰقَوْمِ … :} For its exegesis, see Surah Al-A'raf (85 to 93) and Surah Ash-Shu'ara (176 to 190). "Mikyal" and "Kayl" refer to measuring grains, etc., by putting them in a fixed measuring vessel, such as a Sa’ (a specific container), and "Mizan" and "Wazan" mean weighing with a scale, etc.
➋ { اِنِّيْۤ اَرٰىكُمْ :} That is, you are quite prosperous, so what is the need for such dishonesty and deceit?
➌ { عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيْطٍ :} That is, the punishment of the Hereafter, or the punishment of that day in this world from which no one will be able to escape.
➋ { اِنِّيْۤ اَرٰىكُمْ :} That is, you are quite prosperous, so what is the need for such dishonesty and deceit?
➌ { عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيْطٍ :} That is, the punishment of the Hereafter, or the punishment of that day in this world from which no one will be able to escape.
