سُوْرَةُ هُوْدٍ
Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 63
قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً فَمَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُۥ ۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى غَيْرَ تَخْسِيرٍ ﴿63﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
He said: "O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Lord, and there has come to me a Mercy (Prophethood) from Him, who then can help me against Allâh, if I were to disobey Him? Then you increase me not but in loss.

(Ayah 63) ➊ { قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اَرَءَيْتُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُ … :} Its explanation has been seen before in the story of Hud (peace be upon him) before these verses. By {’’مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً ‘‘} is meant prophethood.
➋ { اِنْ عَصَيْتُهٗ:} That is, if I am negligent in conveying His message to you, then who will save me from His grasp?
➌ {غَيْرَ تَخْسِيْرٍ:} That is, if I leave the path of monotheism and adopt the path of polytheism, then not only will you not be able to save me from Allah's punishment, but because of you my crime will increase even more, and Allah Almighty will give me double punishment for knowingly choosing the path of polytheism at your behest. {’’خَسِرَ يَخْسَرُ خُسْرَانًا ‘‘} (A) To suffer loss and { ’’ خَسَّرَ يُخَسِّرُ تَخْسِيْرًا ‘‘ } (Taf'il) To cause loss.
➋ { اِنْ عَصَيْتُهٗ:} That is, if I am negligent in conveying His message to you, then who will save me from His grasp?
