سُوْرَةُ هُوْدٍ
Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 51
يَـٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِىٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿51﴾

"O my people I ask of you no reward for it (the Message). My reward is only from Him Who created me. Will you not then understand?

(Ayah 51) ➊ The original meaning of {يٰقَوْمِ لَاۤ اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ اَجْرًا …: ’’ فَطَرَ ‘‘ } is to tear apart, as He said: «{ اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْ }» [الانفطار : ۱ ] "And when the sky is torn apart." By {’’ فَطَرَنِيْ ‘‘} is meant that He created me without any previous example.
➋ { اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ:} So do you not understand that the person who is sincerely enduring the hardship of calling, preaching, and giving advice, and who is to receive reward only from his Lord, would seek any payment or worldly benefit from you?
