Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 24) {مَثَلُ الْفَرِيْقَيْنِ كَالْاَعْمٰى وَ الْاَصَمِّ وَ الْبَصِيْرِ وَ السَّمِيْعِ …:} Through an example, the image of something becomes clear and it becomes easier to understand. The purpose is that a believer is one who sees and hears, while a disbeliever is blind and deaf. Both are opposites and contrary to each other. Do you not understand how a blind and deaf person can walk on the straight path, who neither sees the way himself nor listens when told? That is why the disbelievers will say: «{لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ اَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِيْۤ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِ [ الملک : ۱۰ ] "If we had listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of the blazing fire."
